want to see what I got for my birthday?
Of course you do! Find out after the jump….
My in-laws found this wonderful old treadle sewing machine for me!
It’s a cast-iron Supremacy machine, complete with the full table & original treadle!
I’ve been looking for a treadle machine for more than ten years now - they’re not easy to find in my neck of the woods anymore!
The treadle mechanism still works, but I need to find a manual - I don’t want to mess this machine up!

Ooooooooooh that’s awesome! They did good! Did you know that you can still buy the funny little bobbins?
You’re going to have so much fun with this machine!
Yay!

Nice Machine! I have a soft spot for the treadle machine-just bought one myself at auction- from 1873 (i guess you already know how to date the machine right?)Right now Im refinishing the cabinet but I doubt I will actually sew with it. Enjoy!!

Thanks Sheila! I’m looking forward to getting it working again, but my studio is pretty small, so it’s still living downstairs in my fabric storage area :-)
