the joy of small projects
I love having lots of projects on the go - I find I get bored when I only have one thing on the go at a time. Of course, I also come from a long line of women who absolutely must carry a small needlework project in their purse where ever they go :-)
This is small project I came up with, just to amuse myself. It’s also a perect size to carry with in you in the car or to do while you’re watching tv. I cut one long rectangular strip of felt (abur 2.5″ X 8″) and trimmed the edges with my pinking shears.
I cut out two small flowers from felt & stitched them together using a series of short running stitches. I think french knots would be a pretty alternative.
The felt flower got stitched to the front & I then hand-stitched the sides closed using more embroidery floss. I used two contrasting colours of embroidery floss to make the draw-string.
Sorry for the poor photo quality - I forgot to bring my good camera & had to use my cellphone :-)
