What to do with those wonderful yo-yos?

I recently posted a tutorial on how to create a basic yo-yo circle without any extra gadgets… and got a few questions on what to do with the yo-yos after they’re finished.
Here are a few ideas….

You could make a yo-yo wreath for Christmas (or a yo-yo wreath for Autumn):

Product testing - June Tailor “Soft ‘N Stretchy” transfer paper

I decided to make my hubby a custom t-shirt for his birthday, so I decided to try out a new product and see how it worked.   There was one little problem - he prefers dark t-shirts and most ink jet transfer products are meant for use on white fabric.

 Now fold the […]

how-to of the day - fabric covered notebooks, part four

Okay, when we stopped last time our fabric covered notebook looked like this:

We need to trim off approximately half of the length of those little tabs of fabric that are sticking out of the top and bottom of the spine.  Liberally coat the wrong side with glue, so it looks like this:

 Now take a popsicle […]

how-to of the day - fabric covered notebooks, part three

Okay, I feel like I can safely handle a pair of scissors, so let’s get working on our notebooks again!
Our next step is to make a cut straight down on either side of the book’s spine, leaving a tag like this, on both the top and bottom of the book:

Now cut diagonal notches out, next […]
