Postmark’d Art is a group of 50 fiber artists who create postcards from fabric, fiber or any number of cool mediums. The postcards are actually sent through the mail, and travel all over the world.

This is such a cool idea! Mandy Curl from Mandinka Designs makes purses & handbags from old men’s suits - the purses are hip, modern and very carry-able… as well as Earth-friendly :-)

If you have a few spare minutes, I’d highly recommend checking out Jude Hill’s blog, Spirit Cloth. She is a talented fiber artist who creates incredibly detailed, hand-embroidered work. Definitely a must-read!

The talented crew at Sublime Stitching have just added another product to their catalog:
Clean, unfussy hoop frames.
They’re perfect for displaying embroidery without extra loops or hangers showing at the top. I think they’d even work for displaying pieces of your favorite fabrics as well.

Boingboing has a great post on how to use fabric to wrap almost anything. The technique is called “furoshiki” and it’s very cool!
