How Do You Store Your Floss?

by Cathy on February 1st, 2007

The search is on! I need a new way to store my floss. It’s on bobbins right now but they are cardboard, they bend, and I don’t have a winder. Here is a system I’m looking at:
stitchbowcomplete.jpg This is the StitchBow complete system from Herrschners.

The complete system includes 480 floss holders, 36 transparent inserts, four storage binders and travel bag. Floss not included. It’s a bit pricey but it looks like it has everything one might want.

stitchbowminiinserts.jpgThe picture to the right is a set of 3 transparent mini inserts. They hold 5 skeins each and snap easily into the mini travel bag, sold separately. Floss not included.

stitchbowtravelbag.jpg This is the travel bag which is included in the complete set. Cool, huh?

Does anyone use this system? If you do, let me know how you like it.

I have the stitchbow system… and over all its ok. The one draw back FOR ME is that i am freehand artist… I take my floss on the go for a variety of projects and would like to carry my entire collection of floss colors so i can pick colors as i go depending on my design ideas of that moment. I cannot carry all my floss and zip my case… so its not as tidy a case as i would like… If i were able to to sellect just colors i need it would be fine.. but i wanted to be able to keep all my floss together. Maybe i should learn to cut down LOL not likely. Good luck Betsy
