Double-pointed needle
The Needles! weblink is to a double-pointed tapestry & cross stitch needle. I saw these at my LNS a couple days ago, and bought a packet. The idea is that by having the floss in the center of the needle (instead of on one end), you can just stuff the needle through the cloth, and push it back up again without having to turn it 180 degrees to pass back through the cloth. Hence, minimizing the twisting of the thread.
I will be testing out this novel needle over the next few days (or less if it sucks) and get back to you with a product review. :)

Doulbe eye needles are the greatest! They originated with machine knitters who needed a needle that didn’t split the yarn when sewing or connecting two knitted pieces. They have been around since I can remember (and I started machine knitting back in the 60’s). I have bought them in three sizes - small, medium and large. The medium and large sizes work best for me but if you are a sewer or needle crafter, you may want the smaller size. So, go ahead and try one for yourself. I think you will like them too. Good Luck,
Judy
