De-Stash Your Studio challenge - week two check in

How are you doing with the de-stashing? I’ve treated myself to several patterns (hey, when they’re on sale for $1.99 you can’t help it!) but I’ve been very good and not bought any fabric.
I have run into one little problem though…
I’ve bought a couple of dress patterns, (including this one) and would like to make some lightweight summer dresses…. But I don’t have long enough lengths of fabric to do that! Oh well, I’m sure I can wait until April 22nd to indulge.
I’m also looking at other ways I can de-stash - including going through my stash of patterns. I had patterns in there that have got to be ten years old! If I haven’t sewn them up by now, I don’t think I will - so they got either recycled or given away (depending on the condition of the pattern)
When was the last time you looked through your patterns? Are you really going to use a pattern if you haven’t in the past decade? How about passing it along to someone else who could use it?

I’m using up some yarn and a bit of material but the quilt I want to make is just barely started. Did you get any of the outfits made that you pulled the material out for?

I totally forgot about the destash and bought some yarn. Darn! And I’m going to buy 2 more skeins because I’m making a spring scarf for my MIL and I don’t have any yarn in my stash that will do…. after that I’ll get back on the wagon. ;)

Actually, you can pass some of the ‘dead’ patterns to me, as I am going to spin up some more tissue paper yarn :o)

Oh no! I’ve already found a new home for them! I’ll pass the next ones along to you though :-)

Not to worry Arizona, I’m not trying to guilt people out with this challenge :-) A few balls of yarn here and there aren’t a big deal!
