call for entry - November’s blog carnival
I know Hallowe’en isn’t even here yet, but I like to get a head start on these things :-)
I’m hosting the Art & Craft Showcase for November and I’m going to open this showcase to any art or craft blogger who wants to participate!

The rules are simple:
Post a link to your “Christmas Gifts” post in the comments on this post by November 21st. I’ll post the entire blog carnival on November 23rd. Please post a short blurb to be included with your link as well.
Feel free to cross post and use the graphic for your own post about the showcase :-)

Chloe, how can I email you? The email address over there in the About Tangled Thread box didn’t work.

Now is a good time to start if you’re going to make handmade gifts that take a bit of time! Gather together your fabric and paper scraps, and put together a unique art quilt for a special someone.

Shop for beautiful and useful holiday gifts and benefit the American Cancer Society (ACS) at the same time.
The online Fiberart For A Cause Shop is open with artful designs focusing on hope, serenity and beauty. Apparel, totes, mugs, mousepads, and notecards are available. All profits ($5 per item) go to the ACS. Here is a blog post with more details:

Or go directly to the Fiberart For A Cause Shop:

Fiberart For A Cause has already donated more than $135,000 to the American Cancer Society.
Thank you! Virginia

Chloe,
What a marvelous idea!
When I came here and read your post and the lovely ideas of the others, what I thought was this. With families spread hither and yon these days, what if families started some kind of round robin in their own family? It could be a dishcloth, a card, a found object or a flea market find, it could be any number of inexpensive things, but it would keep families closer in touch. So that’s my suggestion!
Hugs to you dearheart,
Maitri

I’m such a computer ejit and never quite sure I’m responding to the correct note…having said that, I’m making quilts for Christmas for my family members. If this counts for the carnival, count me in.
