Blog of the Week - Storm at Sea
This week’s blog is Storm at Sea ‘A blog dedicated to my hobbies cross-stitching and quilting.’, written by Svenja in Germany.
Svenja shares pictures of some lovely biscornu (little 8 cornered pillow/cushion, and after seeing so many stitcher’s photos of them I think I really want to make one. They are cute!) She is also stitching some Chatelaine pieces, which are stunningly gorgeous (the Japanese Octagon Box is to die for). I have been enjoying her entries (besides needlework, sometimes there are other things. This week is pictures of a very expensive yacht) and if you have not stumbled upon her blog before, you are in for a treat with nearly a year’s worth of archives to browse. I have enjoyed reading her blog for a while now, and hope she will continue writing for many months and years to come.

Very nice blog and photos. I especially like the header :) The mini-mysteries and Chatelaine WIPS are worth seeing. Cheers.

Oh, yes, biscornus are really fun to do, and they have this ‘instant gratification’ thing. :)
And I’ve to agree that Svenja’s Châtelaines are worth some drooling. (That Octagon Box is really ‘wow’.:)

I will have to look through my patterns for one small enough to be a biscornu. I don’t want to make something so large it ends up as a sofa cushion, LOL.
